IT'S THE END OF JANUARY...????!
Maybe it's because I'm not currently employed or go to school (it definitely is) but personally time has been passing by so fast... I can't believe it... And I haven't done my monthly post so it's time to get Rankaroid blog up and running again.
To be honest with you I've been applying to a bunch of apprenticeships... I'll keep the blog updated or not depending on my failure or success. LOL. I don't really see myself going to university so I think getting experience working is what I'm aiming for. I'm going through the application process of one but it's a fairly competitive apprenticeship so I've been applying to a bunch more in the meantime... I love drawing my ocs and fanart but I don't really think I'd want a creative career :P
Omg. It's kinda depressing to talk about all that on the blog. Let's fast forward.
What have I been doing with all of my free time? I picked up House at the start of the year but I kind of fell off half way through season 2 because the show is pretty formulaic and also I can't watch medical shows while I eat which is most of my watching time... I don't hate the show though, I'll probably pick it back up another time.
I also started Higurashi at the start of the year (or specifically right before new years) and I've been making slow but steady progress! I'm currently on chapter 2 "Watanagashi" and I'm actually half way through it, just based on a quick google of how many subchapters there are in chapter 2. I'm really enjoying myself so far but wow. Um. Ryukishi was really gooned out in a bad way while wriitng this chapter. LOL. My spoiler-free review: I really love the Sonozakis so far. I'm really excited to see where their characters go. Rich coming from the guy who has his own pair of green-twin-girls ocs but they're actually really different so it's fun to compare...
Okay. Next on the list..? I've been drawing and writing! YEAH! It's all a little disjointed though. I just finished my commission queue so I can work on 2 art trades now. I really want to draw some things for Valentine's though so I'm aiming to finish these art trades quick.
I'll reserve the main Aquamarine updates for the other blog, but I haven't made much VN progress. I paused VN writing because I ended up making and developing 2 new OCs, but they're unrelated to the VN so it doesn't affect the development of that. Yay!
The (bad??) news on that end is that I want to write a story (not VN, just written with some pictures) around these 2 new OCs. Their story is set many years before Aquamarine's vague present time, so it's a completely separate thing. Either way, I'm having fun with my OCs so I win!
I have a lot of fun writing... I only really share it privately with friends but I love seeing their reactions, especially on the more outlandish things I write. Maybe I'll be brave enough to share it all publicly, but for now I'm enjoying my peace and privacy. If blog reader is interested in reading, you can ask >_o)
I played some FFXIV this month but.. ah.. I've had my fill for now... Maybe I'll resub another time. XIV really truly kills my productivity so I'm gonna stick to being unsubbed lol.
I've been super Aquamarine-y lately but it's also made me realize I don't really have a good way to show people my characters and world. I want to work on new references and writing that will make them accessible :D! My other blog is a perpetual WIP.. lol.
