 DAWNTRAIL: FINAL DAYS

Spoilers for Endwalker in this post, read at your own discretion! (and minimal Dawntrail speculations..)

Dawntrail is rapidly approaching and only 3 days remain until we can all visit Tural! If you've preordered Dawntrail at least. Otherwise, it's a few more days... But either way I wanted to leave some thoughts before it drops.

Roid's final day of Endwalker

Frankly I can't believe Endwalker is over.. I started playing FFXIV 2 years ago about 2 months after ENW launched and finished the game in about 4 or 5 months, meaning about a month per expac. I love this game so much and it came to me at a good time since I was having trouble at the time. It's connected me to so many of my friends, as well as letting me make countless new ones and I'm so thankful! Even if it's just a twitter mutual, it's really great to share interest over this game.

 Today I spent the entire day crafting. It was pretty awful. By all day I genuinely mean like my entire afternoon and evening.. And all I got was ALMOST 4/8 crafters to 90... But in the end it's ok.. Crafting is not my biggest priority but I do have good gear so I'm ready to go in during Dawntrail. I was also working on the studium quests which are actually quite pleasant, but very time consuming. There's definitely more efficient ways to level the crafters, but I've almost finished the Studium deliveries... But I'm logging off.. So tired.. But I'm logging off right in front of the pictomancer starting quest so I can get a head start on levelling this Friday!!!!!

Pictomancy and Dawntrail

I've decided that I'm picking up picto for Dawntrail! My biggest concerns were the aesthetics and the actual job concept not being compliant with Roid's lore, but I had very little to worry about because both work fantastically. Plus Krile is the poster girl of the job!! I originally intended to make some pokes and theories for Dawntrail but honestly I don't feel like it anymore... I'm taking what Dawntrail gives me. Though I do have a few comments I want to give to the world before the expac drops so I can have a good laugh when I finish the story.

People say that they think the lalafell in the previews is Archon Relm? Maybe..! I've always thought Relm and Krile (any iteration, really) looked similar, so both being lalafell checks out.

I'm betting on at least one surprise outfit change, maybe even a job change (Estinien viper sounds cool.. but unlikely.. he likes that bloody lance too much..) but most of all I've wanted the twins to get a growth spurt for ages!!!!! I doubt it though.. But maybe we could get a haircut! I would love Alisaie to have a short haircut, honestly the same as her current one but without the xenomorph ponytail.. and maybe a few trims around. Alphinaud I think would probably take after Estinien and don a ponytail. Otherwise, I think he'd also be good with his hair down, but I doubt he'd get a chop.

I don't think the Erenville runaway prince thing holds up.. Unless he's from the Golden City or something.. And I doubt he's one of Wuk Lamat's adoptive siblings. I really love Erenville and Wuk's dynamic, I think it's pretty funny and we'll be watching them bicker this Friday. Whatever happens do NOT make him the ruler of Tural. He just wants to glean.. Let him glean...

I hate Koana's ugly ass gun.

Ugly.. ugly.. ugly.. No other comments on Koana.

Of course I can't end this without mentioning Krile. I have super high hopes and I'm so excited to see Krile get her spotlight. She's following the footsteps of her grandfather, Galuf, and maybe she'll discover things about herself on the way. One thing I do think would be interesting is that if the lalafell in the launch trailer were her parents. It feels a bit obvious though. But the lalafell is wearing the Eureka elemental boots! So maybe.. We don't really know Krile's origins other than being adopted so maybe.. Just maybe.. Krile was found by Galuf during his time but I don't even think that holds up because I believe Gulool Ja Ja's rule is far longer than 22 years.

I'm really hoping to see Krile break out of her shell after being benched for 4 expansions and develop into a strong and confident pictomancer. In Eureka she muses to the WOL about how she can't fight off the enemies in Hydatos like we do, but now I believe she can protect herself and others too. I'm so curious at to what we'll discover about her grandfather and what it will mean for her as well as the entre realm.

My cat will be beautified in 3 days. And his mouth will be zipped shut.

What do you think of his pictomancer glams? I personally struggled for a long time trying to come up with a glam... I liked the top, but it dyes odd. I hope that it gets 2 channels so that I can tweak the glams slightly. But otherwise, I think it's a really cute look for Roid. I usually don't dress him in wihte, but I imagine this outfit getting covered in a bunch of paints so it'd be super colourful. I also really love the hat, it's got a cute thing on the side.. And it also makes him look like a painter almost. 

Plus, plus he can finally wear glasses with his hat!! I've just been using the fashion accessory since I have it, but now it will be REAL!!! I hope we get some good facewear in DT!

Overall, I have really high hopes for Dawntrail. Even if I find the story lacking, there's so much content aside from MSQ to look forward to. Personally looking most forward to the exploration zone! But also really excited for cosmic exploration and new glams!!!

What will I do during maintenance..? Delete Twitter and Youtube from my phone.. Watch Camp Cretaceous.. Maybe play some 3DS games (FE:A, maybe prof layton vs ace attorney? Or investigations..) There's a lot to do. Goodbye Endwalker Roid!!
